Writing a diary helps

Writing a diary is like “a good medicine without side effects”, says Ellen de Bruin in this week-end’s NRC (13-14 Dec 2014). Over the last decades many studies have shown the positive effects of regularly writing down one’s feelings.

For example, psychologist J. Pennebaker reported that people felt healthier after having put their deepest feelings and thoughts on paper.

Biographical writing is often used in coaching and counseling-

Indeed, through writing we can re-create the story of our life and find deeper meaning.
